Internships at Farrar Family Chiropractic
Dr. Farrar at Farrar Family Chiropractic is passionate about teaching and giving back to his profession. With his commitment to ensuring that every patient everywhere has access to great quality chiropractic care, he donates his time and knowledge to up-and-coming chiropractors and chiropractic students so they have all the tools they need to successfully help their patients in their practices.
In-Clinic Training
For six years, Dr. Farrar has trained students in our offices by offering adjusting classes to help them improve their treatment skills and knowledge. He mentors students throughout their journey through chiropractic school and beyond. A graduate of Life University in Marietta, Georgia, he trains doctors for nearby Parker University, helping students and new chiropractors hone their skills with multiple different adjusting techniques. Our relationship with Parker is so strong that all of our chiropractors, other than Dr. Farrar, received their chiropractic education there.
Interns build their skills privately before working on patients, meaning they don’t adjust patients until their skill level meets Dr. Farrar’s standards of care. But even before they’re ready to adjust patients, they’re involved in other aspects of care, including rehab and other therapies—and our patients love interacting with and getting to know these promising young doctors.
Building Patient-Centered Care
Offering internships and mentoring also allows us to create a cohesive team of chiropractors with outstanding skills in multiple adjusting techniques so patients receive consistent care even if they see someone other than their usual doctor.
In addition, we encourage ongoing training and education so that new and experienced doctors alike are always building their skills and the care they can offer our patients. Currently, all of our doctors are trained in the Webster Technique for prenatal care, and those who are not already certified in Webster by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) are working on completing those certifications.
